Yangming Flower Festival

Yangming mountains-Yangmin park. A 45Mins drive uphill from Jiantan station (Better known as Shilin Tourist Night Market area) and a 2.5Km walk from Yangming is the beautiful Yangming Park.
Situated near a volcanic region, we spotted a couple of hot water sulphur streams on the trek from the bus station to the park.

Fortunately or unfortunately the day we chose was overcast and misty in the hills...On one hand it was dark rather sooner than we expected, but there is fun in walking hand in hand in a misty mountain!;-)

Every spring Taiwan Govt. conducts a flower festival promoting the eco-tourism for the country which is otherwise known as the culinary capital of chinese food lovers.

If time permits...this place deserves a second visit on a clear day! At least to see cherry blossoms and plum trees in full bloom and be welcomed with shower of flowers as we walk the path!

Trip to Hampi

We drove from Bangalore to Tornagallu and stayed at Hotel Rock Regency just opposite JSW steel factory. The drive took 5 hours with 2 breaks considering we travelled with a 1 year old and a 7 year old. The accommodation was quite comfortable and so was the food at their in-house restaurant We hired a guide for a whole day who would take to all the important locations and guide through the huge kingdom. To simply put it to perspective, if the ruins of a kingdom of 13th century has such a grandeur in 2015, it is left to ones imagination how it would have been in those days. Vertical city - Hong Kong 2018

Visited Hong Kong in 2007 and the memory has stuck of the vibrant vertical city. Busy, bustling, vibrant, vertical as far as your eyes can reach and  island country where you can see catch all known modes of transport in a single frame! Gateway to Oriental Asia, financial hub, all world famous banks and insurance firms has a building on its name here. Average height of any building is 50 floors possibly. Learnt from folks that for  drinking water supply, the water board equivalent of the country pumps the water to water tank atop a hill with all energy and might. Utilizing the gravity and pressure system water is automatically distributed to all the skyscrapers!
