Dubai - land of excess and abundance

December 2016 - Dubai Much planned and much prepared trip to Dubai! Luckily we had a friend who arranged for a studio with a kitchenette attached for our stay. We packed our share of premix upma/poha/rice mixes/pickles. On landing we realised we do get everything without having to search much We stayed at Discovery Gardens. Closest Metro station was Ibn Battuta which was very well serviced and connected by feeder bus service and taxis which run by meter. We reached Dubai near midnight on 23rd Dec 2016 24th we set out to see Dubai mall early by Metro. Metro Station goes by the name of Dubai Mall. The city is well organised and easy to navigate. There are separate Ladies coach in metros. The service is punctual. All Metro stations and major malls offer free wifi.. a modern day blessing :) Considering the geography the city is completely AC except if you step out on your own in open road.
